IDEA

No idea here - I was subcontracted to lay this decking, but for me, every job is a chance to push myself. I always aim to finish with a result I’d be proud to have at my own home – and, most importantly, to leave the customer happy with the finish.

CONCEPT

The plan was to section off two areas at the front of the deck, either side of the stairs, with a double-border detail made up of mitred corners and a bullnose outer edge. This feature would carry right around the full 80m² deck. From there, the boards were laid lengthways up to the front façade of the house, keeping everything clean and simple.

RESULT

The finished deck is a minimalist, low-maintenance design that perfectly frames the stunning views of the Lancashire countryside.
